September 2007
NADAC CHAMPIONSHIPS BRAGS from Gillette, Wyoming
- Paisley & Jeannie, who have only been trialing for less then a year, came home with two Elite Q’s — the highlight of their week.
- Corbie had a great first three days, Q'ing and placing in everything we entered. He was in the ribbons in quite a few classes. Saturday was a bust, however. I started having thoughts of making the finals, a sure way to sabotage my performance! I have to remember to practice preemptive pessimism — we're too inexperienced to ever make the finals — next year, and maybe we'll do better!
- Belle ended up 5th overall in the 12" Skilled division!
- Huckle had some great runs, including nailing his weave poles in Team, Q'ing in Touch'n'Go, and receiving the award for Fastest Hound in Jumpers!
- Congratulations to Nancy Creel & Saales — 1st in the 12" Skilled division, and Kili — 2nd in 16" Veteran Skilled!
- Congratulations to Jean McCreight and Zack — 2nd in 16+ Skilled!
- Congratulations to Jackie Loeser & Kip — who had the fastest Run Index in Tunnelers of any dog entered in Championships - maybe the fastest dog in the country!
- Congratulations to Butte friends Libby & Tess - for your Tunneler's Q's and especially for winning the Sportmanship
award for Jr. Handlers! It couldn't have happened to a nicer person! - Congratulations to Emma & Lisa — 3rd place overall
in the 8" Veteran's category - And finally, congratulations to all the rest of the Montana dogs — Roja, Clarity, Gadget, Ace, Derby, Rupert, Sprocket, Sophie, Breaker, Panda, Craic, Emma, Ranger Baby, Holli, Zeus, Rhett, Kintla (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone!) — you all did great and I can't believe how well Montana was represented! Super Job!
